Rejection of incomplete applications
From February 1, the Civil Aviation Authority of Norway (CAA–N) will implement a new procedure that allows for the rejection of applications that do not meet established requirements.
The CAA–N has long faced challenges with applications lacking necessary information, resulting in significant time spent requesting missing information, as well as inefficient processes causing delays.
By rejecting incomplete applications, the CAA–N aims to:
- Prioritize complete applications.
- Reduce processing time.
New requirements for submitting applications
To ensure uniform and efficient processing, the following changes are being introduced:
- Applications via examiners: For applications involving tests conducted by an examiner, only the examiner is to submit the application directly to the CAA’s official e-mail. This measure aims to prevent errors and delays caused by misunderstandings.
- Consequences of rejection: If an application is rejected due to missing documentation, the examiner must submit a new application. The new application will be processed based on the date it was received. Therefore, it is essential to ensure the application is complete before submission.
Guidance for applicants and examiners
The CAA–N recommends all applicants and examiners to:
- Carefully review the requirements for the application.
- Double-check that all necessary documentation is attached before submission.
By following these guidelines, delays can be avoided, and faster processing can be ensured.
Objectives of the Measures
The CAA–N aims to provide a fair and efficient case processing system. These new measures are designed to:
- Shorten processing times.
- Improve resource utilization.
- Offer a more satisfactory experience for all parties involved.
The CAA–N looks forward to delivering more efficient and fair services for everyone involved.
