Scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from Svalbard – change of administrative practice with regards to passenger/crew lists
This publication replaces AIC-I 05/15.
As of 6 May 2022, a new regulation regarding travels to/from Svalbard came into force. From this date, the passenger and crew lists for inbound and outbound flights are to be submitted directly to the Governor of Svalbard no later than two workdays prior to the flight. Please note the following:
Commercial flights
The operator must ensure that their passengers carry valid identification papers (passport)
The passenger/crew list must include the following:
- The person’s name, date of birth, nationality and the type and number of their identification paper
- Point of arrival/departure at Svalbard
- Callsign
- Time of arrival/departure
- The total amount of passengers and crew
- Point of first embarking
Private flights
The passenger/crew list must include the following:
- The person’s name, date of birth, nationality and the type and number of their identification paper
- Point of arrival/departure at Svalbard
- Callsign (if applicable)
- Time of arrival/departure
- The total amount of passengers and crew
Passenger/crew lists can be submitted at: grense.svalbard@politiet.no
As a result of the new regulation, passenger/crew lists are no longer to be submitted to CAA Norway.
